An ounce of joy!

Unplanned drive in middle of the night,

My pup curling up on my lap,

Watching a butterfly dance across flowers,

Deep late night conversations that last till dawn,

Warm cozy cuddles with my kid on a chilly night,

Watching my favorite movie for the hundredth time,

A moment of quiet peace on a crazy day,

Lying on picnic blanket, watching clouds slowly pass,

Listening to pitter patter rain while reading a novel bundled up,

Mastering a yoga flow I am working on for quiet few weeks,

A breathtaking view at unexpected stop on a drive,

Those sweetest gestures of overjoyed pup seeing me,

Of sunrise and sunset, glorious hues of sky at dawn and dusk,

A stroll on beautifully lit Sutter street, vintage shops, quirky and dainty!

Ice cream on a sunny day,

Long walk in the woods, wild flowers and hummingbirds!

Star gazing while chatting with cousins,

Catching up with a long last friend, reminiscing silly little things we did,

Touchdown at my hometown airport,

Relishing amma’s yummy food,

Hugging my favorite people,

The unexpected kindness of a stranger,

Those eyes of loved ones that shower unspoken words of emotions,

Trip to my favorite bookstore,

A poem that make me smile!
