The child of mine, unborn yet!

My beautiful, precious child whom I yet to hold,

Those tiny fingers and tiny toes — twenty in all,

those curly locks, thick, black long curls!

pink fresh lips when you pout look just like mine,

mesmerizing eyes with long eye lashes just like your dad,

cute little smile in blissful sleeps, twisted and distorted yawns!

the fantasy of my vivid dreams, the longing of my future me!

The child of mine, unborn yet!

My beautiful, precious child whom I yet to hold,

How I dream of all the games we get to play!

Of all the places we go, summer trips of zoos and museums,

carnival merry-go-rounds and pink cotton candy swirls,

candy sugar high and colorful birthday parties to throw!

those lucid moments of future, rosy and fresh!

The child of mine, unborn yet!

My beautiful, precious child whom I yet to hold,

how new-moms warn me of messy hands, milk and juice spills,

slippery floors, soiled diapers, unfinished bottles,

sleep deprived eyes, and power struggles!

Yet, I wait for you to test my patience and push my boundaries !

The child of mine, unborn yet!

My beautiful, precious child whom I yet to hold,

How I long for you, my child, nine months seem like eternity to me!

to shower unconditional love, to hold the bundle of joy,

wrapped nicely, those eyes beaming with pride

to finally get to meet the people who created it!

The child of mine, unborn yet!

My beautiful, precious child whom I yet to hold,

make yourself home in my womb, hope it’s cozy,

assure your presence with kicks and jolts until you arrive here!

We promise the world is a beautiful place to live and

We love you to bits and can’t wait to hold you and grow with you, my child!
